About Aash
I am Sonu Parekh Patel, and I hold a Master’s degree in Polymer Chemistry from Pittsburg State University, USA. Before stepping into the culinary world, I was teaching chemistry at the junior high level — a career I truly valued and enjoyed.My husband, Harsh Patel, always dreamed of building his own restaurant in the United States — a place that would bring the authentic flavors of Indian street food to the American community. Cooking has always been my passion, and during my pregnancy, I made the heartfelt decision to support his vision and turn our shared dream into reality.After the birth of our baby, we took a leap of faith and opened our dream restaurant in downtown Chicago. I chose to leave my teaching career to fully dedicate myself to this journey, combining passion, family, and culture into something meaningful.Our vision is simple: to introduce people to the true taste of India. We believe Indian cuisine should be experienced in its most authentic form — fresh, vibrant, and full of tradition. That’s why our food is never frozen-based; every dish is prepared with care, using real ingredients and authentic recipes that reflect the richness of Indian street flavors.What started as a dream has now become our way of sharing culture, warmth, and genuine homemade flavors with our community.
