Delicious! We tried something new for a warm up called Sev Puri and loved the 8 little crunchy semolina shells filled with a potato and chickpea purée and a drizzle of sauce and sev sprinkle. The Tikhari egg curry was amazing- we dipped garlic naan into it and loved it. If you haven’t tried it yet, go!

Loved their sczhewan frankie, egg bhurji and panipuri, but their Chinese street style noodles wasn't as imagined.

Popped in the other day for some late afternoon grub and I am so glad I did. All the food I had was delicious and the staff was very friendly and helpful. I look forward to going back and trying more things!

Great place for authentic Indian street food. Not many places have cuisine from my state in India specifically, but they had it (most Indian restaurants in the USA have Punjabi or South Indian only. Nothing from the west, central or east). Servers were nice and it’s a family owned small business. Would highly recommend.

So happy this place opened. Best Indian Chaat in the area. The vegetarian selection is amazing and the flavors are extremely authentic. Came here twice in one week because the staff is so friendly and the food is extremely fresh.

I really loved the pav bhaji here and will be going back to try other dishes here as well. Wait staff were super friendly and attentive.
Frequently Asked Questions
Bhakhri is a crispy, thick flatbread originating from Gujarati cuisine, made from wheat or millet flour and cooked on a tawa until firm and crunchy. Unlike soft roti, it has a satisfying crunch and rustic flavor.
Bhakhri is traditionally paired with Gujarati-style dishes like Sev Tomato Curry, Dal Tadka, or curries with thin gravies. It's also delicious with yogurt, pickles, and chutneys for a complete Gujarati meal.
Bhakhri can be healthier, especially when made with millet (bajra or jowar) flour — high in fiber, gluten-reduced, and a great option for those watching blood sugar or seeking nutrient-dense bread.
Yes, Bhakhri is a distinctive menu item that reflects the Gujarati roots of Aash's cuisine in Chicago. It's a unique offering that sets the restaurant apart from typical North Indian eateries.
